Sage 100 News
Sage 100 version 2025 is scheduled for release in April, and at that time Sage will also retire version 2022. The versions of Sage 100 supported by Sage will then be 2025, 2024 and 2023 – per their standard practice of providing support and Product Updates for three versions of the software at a time.
Sage has posted a preview of the new features they’re planning for version 2025 in their Update Schedule (although the features included in the new version could potentially change by the time the version is released).
Some of the enhancements and other changes currently slated for version 2025 include:

Bennett/Porter will begin upgrading clients to version 2025 once the first Product Update is released – which could be in late July or early August. Cross Suite

Payroll
- The newest version of the Federal W-2 for 2025 was added.
- W2C: Box 15 – The State Code and State ID will now populate in Box 15 on the W2C form, including for employees who have worked in multiple states.
HR
- The new Applicant Portal Experience provides your applicants a better experience when applying for jobs. Key features include:
- Eliminating the need for applicants to create an account to apply for jobs
- Better autofill of the application forms
- Optimization for mobile devices
- Streamlined process for ‘full-apply’ applicants
- All around better navigation and user experience

Microsoft will cease security updates for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025. This poses a significant security risk to any workstations still running this operating system. Safeguard your company’s data by planning now to upgrade or replace affected workstations.
Options for Your Workstations
UPGRADE: Explore the possibility of in-place upgrades from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Given the extensive hardware requirements for Windows 11, this may not be feasible for all systems.
REPLACE: Consider replacing Windows 10 workstations with new, high-quality Windows 11 systems. This upgrade enhances both performance and reliability of your workstations.
DO NOTHING: This option exposes your workstations to security threats and jeopardizes your company’s data. Outside of running legacy software that cannot run on a modern OS, this should not be considered.
Considerations for Legacy Software
Evaluate the compatibility of legacy software with Windows 11. Older software may need to be replaced with newer versions, or systems running legacy software may require special, isolated environments to function correctly.
Personal Security
Remember, this end-of-support also affects personal computers used for work-related tasks. Upgrading or replacing these home computers is equally important for overall network safety.
