Release 93 of People Savvy HCM is right around the corner – specifically to be released on Thursday, June 20. Included in this version are some great new features that our team is excited about. We hope you’ll find them useful as well!
Easier Report Sharing
You’ve always been able to share your customized report views with colleagues. In fact, customizing reports and making them available to others is one of the user friendliest features of People Savvy HCM. However, sharing those reports is about to get even easier. In the Actions menu of any report, you’ll now find a new item named ‘Share Link To Report…’. Selecting this will present you with a shareable link and QR code. When used, your co-workers will be taken right to the corresponding report view. Views will still need to be shared with intended recipients, and data access with still be subject to security permissions. But you can say goodbye to navigation paths and extra clicks. Think of these links as freeways to information.
Fuzzy on the (Search) Details
It can be frustrating. You search for something you know is there, and the system tells you there are no results. Turns out, you simply had a typo in the search field. You know what you meant, but People Savvy HCM is being precise (a.k.a. difficult). With the advent of Release 93, your innocent typing errors will no longer slow you down. ‘Fuzzy’ search capabilities are being introduced, which will allow People Savvy HCM to be less strict and at least take a guess as what you meant. So fat finger away!
Smarter Custom Form Fields
Designing multi-page custom forms based on a PDF can be a tedious and time-consuming task. In some instances, as with more complex forms containing numerous fields, creating all of those fields might take the better part of a day. This release introduces a process for uploading fillable field PDFs into custom forms. Two significant sources of frustration will be addressed by this revised process. First, generic field detection will automatically find and replicate fields in the PDF. Second, the detected fields will be aligned in the same locations as the original PDF-based fields. So you’ll be able to stop dragging and dropping (and dragging and dropping and dragging and dropping and dragging…).
Streamlined Withholding Forms Experience
HR administrators are always aiming to make the onboarding checklist process for new hires more efficient by implementing a user-friendly, predictive withholding form submission system. Unfortunately, up until now, People Savvy HCM’s process for this has required a few too many steps. I just a few days, though, a new option within the ‘Screen-link Withholding’ checklist will be added that presents a fresh Withholding Form selection screen. The best part of all? This screen will include a toggle to filter and display only the withholding forms relevant to an employee’s place of residence and work.
Lots of new product features like these grow out of ideas presented by resellers and clients. If you have an idea about making the software more usable, let your support team know, and you might just see it presented in a future newsletter.

Windows 10 End of Support is Coming! – It’s time to start early planning for another Windows version retirement.
In October 2025, Windows 10 will no longer be supported or updated by Microsoft. While you and your business have probably been through a few rounds of Windows retirements before, this one is going to be a bigger challenge than any previous one.
Windows 10’s market share is higher than any previous modern Windows version on the verge of retirement—including Windows XP back in 2013-2014! This enormous number of endpoints needing to be addressed is further complicated by the fact that Windows 11’s hardware requirements were stricter than any previous version due to hardware-based security requirements. This means that any machine without the proper chips—generally anything manufactured prior to early 2017—cannot be in-place upgraded to Windows 11 at all, even if it still runs modern tasks just fine.
It will be critical to identify which machines need to be completely replaced and which ones can be upgraded early to give you plenty of time to budget and plan out these projects. Bennett/Porter’s Managed IT Services team can quote replacement workstations and upgrade projects to help make this move easier for you. There will likely be limited availability of hardware from all the major vendors as the deadline approaches and many organizations wait until the last possible moment, so don’t wait!
