EXCITING UPDATES FROM UKG ARE ON THE HORIZON
UKG, the manufacturer of People Savvy HCM, recently released their product roadmap to give partners like us a glimpse of the improvements we can expect in fiscal year 2025. The following are just a few of the highlights that will soon be offered through People Savvy HCM. We hope you’ll be as excited as we are about these new, business-enhancing options.
Applicant Portal Refresh
Exciting and much needed changes are coming to the Applicant Tracking module in People Savvy HCM. In recent months, you may have noticed some changes to the look and feel of this area of the system. UKG has been slowly rolling out functionality to help align the look of the applicant portal with client company websites, so it appears fully integrated and seamless. Their developers will continue along this path in early 2025 by updating the applicant experience to include improvements, such as not requiring candidates to log in to apply for positions. That means no more requiring applicants to create accounts, which can be a deterrent for many qualified candidates. In even better for news applicants, resumes may be used to populate the application (of course, LinkedIn profiles can continue to be used as well). Questionnaires, knock-out questions, and EEO information collection are still optional but are presented in a much more user-friendly format, as is the rest of the application process. The target date for these changes is March 2025. By September 2025, the roadmap for Applicant Tracking also includes applicants being able to schedule their own interviews through the module. Expense Tracking
Expense tracking can often be a drain on A/P and payroll administrators. Most companies rely on manual processes or another, separate external system to manage employee expenses. We are very happy to announce that the new payroll-integrated, expense tracking module is now available in People Savvy HCM. Once configured, employees will be able to submit expense reimbursement requests from anywhere on any device. Required information and receipts can be easily submitted right alongside timesheets. Expense reports and receipts are viewed side-by-side, which means no flipping through multiples screens or attachments. Simple submission, approval, and notification processes may be configured, and status tracking is clear and easy. Expenses are then able to be pulled directly into payroll for processing, followed by inclusion in the general ledger report.
Employee Navigator Integration
Numerous insurance brokers offer clients Employee Navigator to simplify the management of employee benefits and aid compliance for businesses of all sizes. Employee Navigator also provides a direct connection to insurance carriers for transmitting enrollments and terminations for groups of all sizes. This is a valuable benefit, especially to small employers who may not have the option of an EDI feed if they have less than the minimum number employees that carriers require (typically 100). A direct, two-way integration with Employee Navigator and People Savvy HCM is currently in the final testing phase and planned for availability by the end of February 2025. This is an additional option being offered to help manage benefits without duplicate entry into multiple systems, and it in no way changes the current benefits administration and EDI feed options offered in People Savvy HCM.
