Your Executive Team
Here at Bennett/Porter, our goal has always been to give the client the highest level of service...
“No surprises. Unless it is your birthday, who needs them? Implementing a new ERP system can be stressful and challenging – as is trying to revive a server that your entire company is dependent upon. No one needs a surprise in the middle of that stress! We understand the challenges of business today, and with 34 years of experience behind us, you can count on Bennett/Porter to be there when you need us, and to have the answers you’re looking for when you call.”
Sue Bennett
Sue Bennett
President and Founder
Sue started the company in February of 1988 along with her business partner, Deni Porter. (Initially the company name was going to be TWIB – Two Women in Business – but cooler heads prevailed and Bennett/Porter was born. Cooler heads, and the name Bennett/Porter meant we would be at the top of the Yellow Page listing for Computer Software. And – let’s face it – the name Porter/Bennett sounded like something you would hear in a train station.)
The internet didn’t have a big presence in the late 80’s, and email had not yet become the way to instantly communicate with someone thousands of miles away . Business has changed considerably in the last quarter of a century, and Bennett/Porter has changed to adapt to the technological needs of our clients. While we started off selling computerized accounting and distribution systems, Bennett/Porter has diversified over the years to meet the technology needs for our clients – both in IT Managed Service offerings, as well as Hosting their software in our Tier IV data facility. Oh, and Deni Porter? She retired 15 years ago and lives part of the year in Green Valley, Arizona and the rest of the year in Bend, Oregon. Rotten woman.

Dan Isaacson
Director of Technical Services
Dan joined the Bennett/Porter team over twenty-two years ago, after a brief stint at Timberline Software. Dan’s intuitive grasp of technology, and how it benefits clients’ needs has been the mainstay of the company’s success in the last decade.
Today Dan’s role is transitioning to one of mentor with both clients and the Bennett/Porter team as the company continues its growth. Being the resident expert in all things Acumatica and Sage, he has a wealth of knowledge to share.

Dionne AIIison
Technology Services Director
Dionne has been with Bennett/Porter managing the IT Team and taking on various roles since 2012. This Southern transplant, now deeply rooted here in Oregon, is always working with his team to combine the latest technology with old-school charm and wit. You can tell by all the gadgets scattered throughout his office that he likes his technology!
But with all the tech toys come experience. Dionne has worked for several technology companies here in Oregon and enjoys working with other tech savvy geeks who can come up with the best solutions for our clients, while providing a deliverable to the client that’s easy to understand and implement.
When he’s not being sidetracked by the latest Apple product, he’s probably running a Hood to Coast Relay, enjoying his daughters sports teams, or pretending to browse a tech manual!

Christy Putnam
Director of HCM Enablement
Christy started with Bennett/Porter in February of 2017, but she was no stranger to the team as she had been working as their employee benefits and ACA consultant for the previous nine years.
When Bennett/Porter decided to help employers navigate the Human Capital Management (HCM) software world, Christy was excited to jump on board with both feet. Her previous employee benefits and HR experience with all size organizations helps her be more proactive than reactive to questions and concerns. Christy knows HR and payroll are constantly changing, and employers need all the help and resources they can get. She believes strong relationships and exceptional service are the key to lasting partnerships…..after all HR is all about the people!
Contact Christy today to find out how Bennett/Porter can become an extension of your HR Department by providing valuable guidance, education, and tools.

James Engberg
HCM Lead Strategist
James started with Bennett/Porter as an ERP Technician in late 2013. In accordance with The Dilbert Principle, his responsibilities gradually shifted until he landed in his current capacity as HCM Lead Strategist. Fortunately, his extensive leadership experience has combined with a spectacularly talented group of Technicians for the benefit of our customers. Originally from the heart of Silicon Valley, technology – and over 16 years of related job experience – has been a constant in James’s life, even while earning all the college degrees he isn’t using (though he’ll happily lend you his doctoral dissertation if you need something to help you sleep). From business analysis to project management to his current role, delivering satisfying and usable tech-based experiences has remained his professional objective. Still, his creative persona routinely emerges as Editor and frequent contributor to our B/P Impressions blog. For information about how Bennett/Porter’s People Savvy HCM can support your business, email James anytime.
