Options provide the ability to define different configurations or options that can be selected for a finished good item or kit item. Defining options simplifies the processing of orders allowing the data entry user to select the base item and then answer the questions (options) needed to come up with the final item or kit ordered.
The ability to generate barcodes and bar-coded labels has become more of a requirement. Out-of-the-box MAS 90 provides the ability to create virtually any kind of 3of9, code 39, or code 128 barcode labels, other types of barcodes can be created but they do require you purchase additional barcode fonts. Production labels can be automatically generated at the time of production entry or on-demand.
In a manufacturing environment there is often the need to reverse a production entry because it was entered incorrectly or because a manufactured item was really un-assembled and the components placed back into inventory. MAS 90 Bill of Materials provides the ability to easily disassemble a finished good or sub-assembly.
The unit cost of a make item changes based on the cost of components or labor that is consumed in its production. MAS 90 makes it easy to update the standard cost of a make item by providing a Cost Roll-up utility that will allow you to analyze and update the cost of a make or sub-assembly item based on the component and labor cost associated with the current version of the bill of material.
If you deal with any number of sub-assemblies or Bills of Materials you know how tedious and time-consuming it can be when you need to replace or remove a component across all BOMs. MAS 90 simplifies this process with a Replace/Delete function that allows you to replace a component with another component or delete a component.
MAS 90 Bill of Materials allow for the tracking of different versions or revisions of your Bill of Materials.
With the MAS 90 MRP module provides the ability to upload or enter a forecast by Item and by warehouse or by Item by warehouse and customer. Forecasts can also be entered based on a month or week.
