The ability to generate barcodes and bar-coded labels has become more of a requirement. Out-of-the-box MAS 500 provides the ability to create virtually any kind of 3of9, code 39, or code 128 barcode labels, other types of barcodes can be created but they do require you purchase additional barcode fonts. Shipping or receiving labels can be automatically generated at the time of shipping or receiving or on-demand.
Lot or serial numbers often have other pieces of information that need to be tracked. MAS 500 provides the ability to trace your Lot or Serial number along with expiration date information.
It seems that in this day-and-age there are more shipping documents and paper-work that need to be filled out, which reduces the warehouse efficiency ultimately costing you money. MAS 500 provides credit card reconciliation reports so that you can always reconcile sales with cash received.
Shipping UPS or FedEx is almost standard among most companies today. However if you ship LTL or via Truck MAS 500 also interfaces with Starship Freight by vTechnologies giving you the ability to easily rate shop or get quotes on your shipments. We love the O2 Mobile Warehouse add-on because it is simple and easy to use with users able to learn the application in about hour or less. O2 Mobile Warehouse is different than any other mobile warehouse solution you will see, instead of the user learning menus and options the user scans the barcode and the handheld figures out automatically what type of transaction the user is processing. I know it sounds quite different and almost too good to be true but believe me when I tell you it is very, very cool along with making your users more efficient and less likely to make mistakes.
